Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has once again distanced himself from disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein amid renewed attention from the recently released Epstein files.
Gates expressed deep regret over their past association.
“Apparently Jeffrey wrote an email that he never sent. The email is false, so I don’t know what he was thinking there,” Gates said.
Reflecting on their relationship, Gates admitted he regrets ever spending time with Epstein or knowing him at all.
“It just reminds me that I regret every time I spent with him. I regret that I knew him,” he added.
Gates explained that he first met Epstein in 2011, when Epstein claimed to have connections to wealthy individuals who could support global health initiatives.
In hindsight, Gates acknowledged that the relationship led nowhere.
“In retrospect, that was a dead end. And I was foolish. I spent a lot of time with him,” he said.
Gates firmly denied any involvement with Epstein’s private island or his criminal activities.
“I never went to the island. I only attended the dinners. I never met any women,” he stated.
These comments come as public scrutiny of Epstein’s network intensifies, with several high-profile figures reiterating their distance from the late financier and his actions.
