SUNU Health wins customer-focused health insurance company of the year award

SUNU Health Nigeria Limited has been named Most Customer-Focused Health Insurance Company of the Year, reinforcing its position as a leading player in Nigeria’s Health Maintenance Organisation (HMO) sector.

The award was presented at the Customer Service Standard Magazine Awards 2025, held on December 11, 2025, at the Protea Hotel, Lagos. The recognition highlights the company’s strong commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence within Nigeria’s highly competitive health insurance market.

According to the organisers, SUNU Health distinguished itself through its customer-centric approach, particularly in streamlining claims processing, expanding access to quality healthcare providers, and maintaining transparent and responsive communication channels for enrollees nationwide.

The judging panel also cited the company’s innovative use of technology for customer support and its consistent investment in staff training to deliver empathetic and efficient service. These efforts reportedly earned SUNU Health the highest customer satisfaction scores during the award assessment.

Receiving the award, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of SUNU Health, Dr. Patrick Korie, described the honour as a validation of the company’s core philosophy.
