Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has commended President Bola Tinubu for his bold economic reforms, social re-engineering, and massive infrastructural developments.
Speaking on Wednesday during Nigeria’s 65th independence anniversary celebration in Akure, Aiyedatiwa described Tinubu as a visionary leader who will take the country to the next level with his Renewed Hope initiatives.
The governor highlighted the state’s contributions to the nation’s growth trajectory, promising that his administration will focus on service, actions, and visible results. He cited significant improvements in education, health, and infrastructure under his leadership.
“This celebration is not just about remembering a date in history; it is about reflecting on our journey as a people,” Aiyedatiwa said.
He emphasized the importance of unity in diversity, noting that Nigeria has come a long way since independence.
“We have kept our unity in diversity, we have expanded opportunities for our people, and we continue to draw strength from our culture, our creativity and our collective resilience,” he added.
Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the security of lives and property in Ondo State, assuring residents of more progress in the coming days.
“Let us remember that freedom comes with responsibility,” the governor said, urging citizens to appreciate the country’s journey and the efforts of its leaders. The Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, appreciated the governor for his unwavering commitment to the state’s development.
