The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants has awarded 235 accounting and finance professionals in Nigeria the Chartered Global Management Accountant designation at its 2025 convocation ceremony, held in Lagos.
The CIMA training is recognised in more than 170 countries.
The vice president, Africa of CIMA, Tariro Mutizwa, FCMA, CGMA, commended the graduates for their dedication and stressed that the certification has prepared them to meet current and future business demands.
The country director of CIMA Nigeria, Ijeoma Anadozie, congratulated the candidates, noting that earning the CGMA designation positions them as commercially astute and purpose-driven professionals with opportunities to contribute to sustainable business performance and long-term value creation.
Anadozie said holders of the CGMA can serve in roles such as risk managers, financial analysts, strategy consultants, and management accountants across different organisations. The CGMA designation is a testament to the graduates’ expertise and commitment to excellence in management accounting.
