The National Identity Management Commission has released a revised price list for its services, including updates to the National Identification Number database.
According to the new rates, correcting the date of birth on the NIN now costs ₦28,750.

This represents a 75% increase when compared with the N16,340 being charged for the same service before now.
Earlier this month, NIMC announced an upward review of fees for all its products and services.
The Commission explained that the adjustment comes after maintaining the same pricing structure for over a decade and is aimed at aligning charges with current operational costs and prevailing industry standards.
Under the revised pricing structure, changes to any field—excluding date of birth, such as name or address—will now attract a fee of N2,000 per transaction.
This reflects a 31% increase from the previous charge of N1,522 for similar modifications.
