Microsoft said it has restored service on Saturday evening after an outage disrupted Outlook and other Microsoft 365 programs, affecting tens of thousands of users.

“We’re investigating an issue in which users may be unable to access Outlook features and services,” Microsoft 365 Status, the official Microsoft account for 365 service incidents, said in a post on X.

Multiple Microsoft services, including Outlook, Exchange, Teams, Microsoft 365, and Azure, were affected by outages.

Downdetector recorded over 37,000 reports for Outlook, around 24,000 for Microsoft 365, and about 150 for Teams.

Downdetector reports showed the outages were most concentrated in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Frustrated users also flooded X with complaints about Outlook access issues, raising concerns about a global Microsoft outage.

Users took to X to report issues accessing their Outlook emails, fueling concerns of a global Microsoft outage.

Microsoft reported on its service health update page that the company said, “Everything is up and running.”

In a Microsoft 365 Status update on X, the company confirmed that service had been restored.
