Air Peace has reaffirmed its commitment to passenger safety and took immediate action to address the situation.
The airline confirmed an in-flight theft incident on Flight P47190, which occurred on February 19, 2025.
In a statement signed by its Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Ejike Ndiulo, Air Peace stated that upon landing at Port Harcourt International Airport, a passenger was found with a missing item after a thorough search.
The suspect was promptly handed over to airport police for further investigation and legal action.
Air Peace has raised concerns over the increasing cases of in-flight theft in recent weeks, reaffirming its zero-tolerance stance on such crimes.
To tackle the issue, the airline is implementing stricter security measures, including increased vigilance by cabin crew and enhanced in-flight announcements to remind passengers to secure their belongings and report any suspicious activity.
