Aero Contractors has announced a minimum ticket price of N80,000 for domestic flights during the festive season.
The airline’s managing director, Ado Sanusi, revealed this in a briefing with journalists on Tuesday, emphasizing that the initiative aims to ease the financial strain on Nigerians during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Sanusi stated that the special pricing, which will be available through January 2024, is part of the airline’s commitment to giving back to its customers during the holidays.
“We understand the economic challenges Nigerians are facing, particularly with the high cost of flight tickets. With the holiday season approaching, Aero Contractors has introduced what we call pocket-friendly Christmas fares. Starting at N80,000, these prices will apply to all our routes, making travel more affordable for Nigerians,” Sanusi said.
As of Tuesday afternoon, an economy ticket from Lagos to Abuja was priced at N99,643, while business class tickets were available for N189,167.
Sanusi added that the initiative is designed to help families reunite during the holidays without the burden of excessive travel costs.
“This is our way of giving back to our loyal customers. We want to ensure that families can come together during this festive season without worrying about high ticket prices,” he explained.
The MD reassured customers that, despite the price reduction, Aero Contractors remains financially sound, having carefully considered current economic conditions in the planning of the initiative.
