The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has announced, that it will partner with the Nigerian Institute of Surveyors on geographical data gathering.
This was contained in a statement, signed by the Housing Minister, Ahmed Dangiwa , when visited by members of the Surveyors Institute recently in Abuja, according to The Punch.
He disclosed that the partnership would aid decision making and planning, infrastructure development, as well as land management.
He said “For us at the ministry, we would like to consider this visit as marking a new chapter of a more impactful and result-oriented partnership between the ministry and the Nigeria Institute of Surveyors.
“Your contributions, through the expertise of your members, to the development of Nigeria’s infrastructure and urban landscape are noteworthy and invaluable.”
The minister also noted it is a significant milestone, partnering with the professional body to collectively achieve, affordable housing for all Nigerians. Pointing out that the surveyors are the custodian of accurate geographical data.
