Over 200,000 Kebbi residents to receive N75,000 from FG

The Kebbi State Government has said that the Renewed Hope Cash Transfer project will pay N75,000 to 211,699 people throughout the state’s 21 local government areas (N25,000 per circle for three payment circles).

The Kebbi State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Alhaji Muhammad Hamidu-Jarkuka, made the announcement on Friday at a one-day refresher training for local government cash transfer facilitators in Birnin Kebbi.

The commissioner stated that the state cash transfer unit would commence the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer program enrollment procedure.

“The enrollment targets 160,708 beneficiaries from the National Social Register and an additional 51,258 beneficiaries from the Rapid Response Register.”

“The enrollment will be actively ongoing in all the 21 local government areas and 71 wards in 3,308 communities across the state,” he said.

According to Hamidu-Jarkuka, the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer project intends to provide financial assistance to disadvantaged individuals in the state.

“The financial assistance is to make a significant impact on the lives of the beneficiaries, contribute to their well-being and resilience due to the hardship caused by the current economic reforms in the country,” the prime minister stated.

Furthermore, the commissioner asked the general public to visit their communities and inquire whether their community and names are included in the current disclosure for validation and enrollment.

The Renewed Hope Cash Transfer is a National Social Safety Net Project Scale-Up project.

According to President Tinubu’s government, the Cash Transfer Program will help 15 million households throughout the country.
