Dating platform, Tinder has made a $499 monthly subscription option is now available to users, but only if they are invited and successfully complete the application procedure.
Users of Tinder SELECT are rewarded with benefits that go beyond what the typical swiper gets.
Users can see and be seen by the “most sought after profiles” on the app, direct message other users without first matching, get early access to new features, disable adverts, and display a badge on their page indicating that they are SELECT by paying about $6,000 a year.
As part of a slow expansion, Tinder has been progressively allowing more people to apply since the first round of invitations was sent out in September, although the feature is still very exclusive. Less than 1% of app users, according to the business, are given a spot.
79% of online daters under 30 have used Tinder, the dating app that gained popularity in the US in 2012.
With monthly costs ranging from $4.99 to $11.99, Tinder’s new premium option joins numerous other paid membership tiers that the dating app offers, such as Plus, Gold, and Platinum. To optimize benefits, users can add SELECT on top of any current subscriptions, so they are not forced to make a decision.
