African payments company, Flutterwave, has announced that it has acquired money transfer licenses for 13 US states.
This latest acquisition makes it possible for money to be transferred between the US and Africa more quickly, affordably, and securely.
Arizona, Arkansas, Maryland, Michigan, Delaware, Georgia, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota are among the states covered by the recently obtained licenses.
With this expansion, Flutterwave’s ability to serve consumers in a wider range of US markets is greatly increased, complementing its current cooperation with a regulated financial institution.
The company’s CEO and co-founder, Olugbenga Agboola, in an official announcement on his social media pages reiterated Flutterwave’s commitment of seamless payment for users. He also added that the company has expanded its operational coverage to 29 states in the US with the purchase of the money transfer licenses in the 13 states.
Agboola’s post anticipated that enterprise clients using Flutterwave’s worldwide payment services as well as users of the Send App would benefit from quicker, less expensive, and highly secure transfers between the US and Africa.
