The Lagos Internal Revenue Service and DKK Nigeria have partnered to launch Tax Trybe, a tax education program.
The Punch reported that a statement claimed that the program launched tax club activities with the goal of teaching secondary schools in Lagos comprehensive tax knowledge.
Officials from the Lagos Internal Revenue Service and representatives from secondary schools in Lagos State, specifically from Districts 2 and 4, DKK Nigeria, were present at the launch event.
It said that attendees gained understanding of the significance of tax education and the main goal of starting tax clubs in schools.
LIRS seeks compliance from business owners regarding consumption tax and improves the process of collecting consumption taxes.
According to the statement, Tax Trybe’s mission is to cultivate in young students a deep comprehension of taxes in order to mould them into future tax ambassadors.
According to the statement, Tax Trybe was committed to introducing novel and captivating methods to make learning both pleasurable and understandable, acknowledging the possibility that taxation was perceived as a difficult and boring subject.
“Tax Trybe aligns with our commitment to fostering knowledge and accessibility to tax education,” said the Head of Corporate Communications at the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service.
This partnership with DKK Nigeria fosters an environment that teaches a sense of accountability and taxation from a young age.
