The parent company of Tinder, Match Group, revealed that it was piloting an AI-powered technology that would analyse images in a user’s photo album and choose five that best represented them online.
Around one-third of Tinder users stated they would “absolutely” want to utilise generative AI when developing their dating profile, according to Tinder, which was revealed at an event last month by the company’s chief product officer, Mark Van Ryswyk.
Users can choose the best opening line, provide input on your profile, or have photographs generated for them through a whole ecosystem of third-party apps.
Tinder is taking a more circumspect approach as the company needs to be extremely careful to ensure that we’re giving authenticity, ethical, and privacy concerns the proper consideration.
In order to more accurately identify catfishers or bots, Tinder unveiled an AI-powered verification tool in April.
In order to stop cyberflashing, rival Bumble has been employing image-recognition AI for years to find naked photographs in chats.
