TikTok intends to establish an e-commerce platform in early August to sell products made in China in the United States, the Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday.

It aims to emulate the American success of Chinese shopping platforms Shein and Temu.

This is coming as U.S. officials are closely monitoring TikTok because to worries about data security.

Following the introduction of a bill by MPs that would give the Biden administration the power to outlaw apps that pose security dangers, the firm is battling to avert a ban in the nation
