The Nigeria Immigration Service and the Ministry of Interior have stated that Seplat Energy’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Roger Brown,’s immigration documents have been restored.
The company further stated that after the documents were restored, Mr. Brown was reinstated in his position as the company’s CEO.
This was revealed in the company’s notice to the Nigerian Exchange Limited.
The working permit, combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Aliens Card, and other Visas for admission or stay in Nigeria of the Company’s Chief Executive Officer were included in the statement signed by the company’s Board Chairman, Mr. Basil Omiyi.
“The Company previously disclosed that the Ministry had withdrawn the immigration documents in response to false claims of racism, unfair prejudice, discrimination, and improper immigration status made by a few people posing as “concerned employees and stakeholders of Seplat Energy Plc.
“Roger Brown’s immigration status was restored as a result of the Company’s complete cooperation with the immigration authorities’ verification checks,” according to the statement.
The business added that Mr. Brown may now legally enter, work and reside in Nigeria and that he has resumed his role as CEO of Seplat Energy thanks to the restored immigration documents.
“The Seplat Energy Plc Board and Management are pleased that Mr. Brown has resumed his role as CEO, as the Company continues to make strong strides in delivering,” the company said.
