The Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy is pleased to announce the 3MTT Community Managers for each of the 36 states in Nigeria as well as the Federal Capital Territory. This announcement comes after the announcement of the N1 billion partnership with IHS Nigeria to support the 3MTT Learning Community.
According to The Times, a key step in their mission to enable Nigeria’s tech potential is the selection of Learning Community Managers.
“These people will be essential in overseeing and supporting 3MTT program participants as they make use of the Learning Platform created by IHS Nigeria.
“Participants in the 3MTT will have the assistance they need to use the learning platform and get the most out of it with their direction.”
The Honourable Minister of Communications, Innovations, and Digital Economy, Dr. “Bosun Tijani,” expressed his enthusiasm for the joint endeavour and said that the country’s road towards digital transformation will require substantial cooperation between the public and commercial sectors.”
As stated in the Strategic Blueprint, this collaboration with IHS Nigeria is the first of many that will aid in achieving our objective of turning Nigeria into a net exporter of digital talent.
IHS Nigeria has agreed to cover the wages of the 37 committed learning community managers around the country as part of its support.
Furthermore, a key component of supporting 3MTT talent development initiatives will be having access to the IHS Learning Platform.
According to IHS Nigeria CEO, Mohamad Darwish, “the company’s partnership with the federal government on the 3MTT program is in line with the strategic plan of the minister of communications, innovation, and digital economy as well as the president’s Renewed Hope Agenda”
He continued by saying that the project supports education, one of their sustainability pillars.
He went on to explain that investment in digital skills contributes to the development of a talented and competent labour pool that will foster innovation, the creation of jobs, the expansion of businesses, and economic diversification.
Along with their recently announced milestone celebrating the rollout of over 10,000 kilometres of fibre optic cables across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, it is further proof of the IHS’s ongoing commitment to creating a prosperous nation.
The goal of this project is to improve the quality and accessibility of broadband and next-generation digital services for individuals, businesses, and organizations throughout the nation.
We’re excited to watch the effects and contributions of the 3MTT Community Managers in enabling Nigeria’s digital talent as we continue to gain traction.
