Dating platform, Tinder has unveiled a new membership plan which runs about $500 per month.
According to the company’s website, Tinder Select is a “VIP” option that is only available to around 1% of the dating app’s most active users.
Users of Select will have access to premium features like “Skip The Line,” which lets people see your profile after you like them even if they don’t have a gold or silver membership, and “Direct Message,” which lets you send messages to people up to twice a week without having matched them first.
The company’s “5-point Select Screen,” which includes having a verified photo, “showing a relationship intent,” four pictures, five interests, and a biography, must be met by users in order to use the platform.
According to Bloomberg, Tinder provides three additional paid subscription tiers with monthly pricing starting at $24.99 each: Tinder+, Tinder Gold, and Tinder Platinum.
Tinder was founded in 2012, and is owned by the Match Group. According to the app’s website, it has been downloaded 340 million times and is accessible in 190 countries.
