In addition, compared to the same period last year, FCMB Group’s gross sales increased by 88.7% to N238.2 billion, or N126.2 billion.

This gain was fueled by an increase in non-interest income of 216.1% and an increase in interest income of 51.9%.

The Group Chief Executive of FCMB Group Plc, Mr. Ladi Balogun, commented on the financial performance for the first half of the year, saying: “We continue to use our distinctive Group structure to establish a technology-driven ecosystem that encourages inclusive and sustainable growth in the communities we serve.

According to its commitment to promoting renewable energy sources, the company successfully negotiated funding of up to N5 billion from regional development finance organizations for on-lending to clients in need of solar energy solutions.

By facilitating nearly $160 million in export and remittance flows into the country, respectively, and $81 million in the first half of 2023, FCMB successfully used its banking business to generate foreign exchange flows.

By the end of June 2023, the financial institution had received about N71.6 billion in funding from donor organizations and development finance institutions, which it used to promote the achievement of sustainable development targets in pivotal economic sectors.

This gain was fueled by an increase in non-interest income of 216.1% and an increase in interest income of 51.9%.
